Many of Wisconsin Central's EMD SW1500 switchers have been repainted into the CN scheme, but 1560 still retains its maroon and gold, although with most of the lettering and heralds missing.
Here we chase the locomotive as it works industries in Ashwaubenon and De Pere on L585, a mainline local out of North Green Bay Yard.
The video starts as the train switches the spurs alongside the SuperValu grocery warehouses on Potts Avenue. The southbound manifest freight passing on the main in the first scene caught me by surprise, unfortunate as I recall it had some sweet power too.
Then they head out with a new track warrant, throwing up a tornado of smoke as they pick up speed at Cormier Road.
Arriving in De Pere, they spot a boxcar at a customer at Cedar Street & Fort Howard Avenue, then take off south again as the distant horn echoes in the chilly air.

With the weather alternating between snowstorms and extreme cold during the first three weeks of February 2008, this cold-sensitive railfan whose car does not feature traction control or ABS only managed to get two train videos during that period.
However, the two videos combined feature one four-axle locomotive from each of the three U.S. Midwestern railroads that have been absorbed into Canadian National. First is Illinois Central 3120, a GP40R, pulling the Park Job local (CN Train L578) back to the yard on February 1. Then on February 13 at Potts Avenue in the suburb of Ashwaubenon, we see GP38-2 Grand Trunk Western 5830 either towing or involved in a push-pull with Wisconsin Central 3021, a GP40.
